Actually, it's impressive for now, even. Nothing worse than good sound in the monitors and crap going out the bins. I got tired of always having to go out to the board with my guitar during a solo to make sure that these lousy soundmen didn't bury me in the mix. Just straight stage volume really is the best. Sounds better too, than mixing everything into the PA... Problem is that clubs wanted it just louder and louder until stage volume by itself was just impossible. I heard about the Dead stage setup before when I was younger, seemed impressive back then, for sure...
